Full-Time, Permanent Position- Beginning January 2025
Monday through Friday - 37.5 hours per week
The successful candidate must be able to flex their schedule, including occasional split shifts, when the need arises.

Qualifications:

  • Early Childhood Education Diploma or Degree is preferred or diploma or degree in related child or youth studies
  • Proof of membership in the College of Early Childhood Educators, in good standing
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working with school age children 4 – 12 years
  • Standard First Aid with Infant/Child CPR - Level (C) certification
  • Vulnerable Sector Check deemed acceptable to the organization
  • Knowledgeable in School Age programming and the application of the Child Care and Early Years Act.
  • Experienced in planning and presenting professional learning for adults
  • Reliable transportation to visit School Age Programs

The person we are looking for:

  • Is an ambassador for London Children’s Connection, enjoys working with people and is an effective mentor
  • Has excellent organizational, administrative, planning, interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Has expertise in training and presentation facilitation, both in person and virtually, using a variety of tools and technologies
  • Works independently, as well as able to collaborate across the School Age and the People and Culture teams
  • Has proven experience in providing ongoing performance coaching and mentorship

Position responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and effectively facilitate orientation sessions for School Age Program staff, including supply staff
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure orientation, support sessions and other training aligns with London Children’s Connection’s Guiding Principles and pedagogical approach, as well as Ministry of Education requirements
  • Participate in the development of content for Support Sessions and Professional Learning opportunities
  • Participate in School Age Program and supply staff interviews
  • Visit, and occasionally work in, programs to support staff and cover vacancies if needed
  • Collaborate with the People Services Coordinator, Recruitment Coordinator, and Supply Staff Placement Supervisors, to support supply staff performance, and various other relevant matters
  • Act as an occasional back up for on-call and morning reception
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned
