We are currently recruiting for a creative, dynamic, organized, and collaborative Communications and Marketing Coordinator to become part of London Children’s Connection’s talented and committed People & Culture team and our growing child care community.

As our Communications and Marketing Coordinator you’ll join a team of caring and knowledgeable colleagues all working together to create meaningful moments that shape young lives.

Full-time Term Position, Approximately January 2025 - July 2026
At London Children’s Connection’s main office, 346 Wonderland Rd. S.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in marketing and/or communications, with current knowledge of best practices
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the marketing/ communications field (non-profit and/or licensed child care and early learning sector experience is an asset)
  • Demonstrated experience in brand management, design, website management, communications development, and content creation for social media and the web (experience with recruitment-focused marketing is an asset)

Skills Required

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and project management skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with high proficiency in proofreading and editing, including superb grammar and spelling
  • Strong creative design skills for digital and print use
  • Ability to work both independently and to collaborate within an interdisciplinary team
  • Effective analytical and research skills 
  • Strong ability to facilitate meetings with effective presentation skills 
  • Tech savvy with proficiency in the use of the following tools:
    • Creative and design tools such as Canva and Adobe Creative Suite,
    • Google Workspace (Gmail, Calendar, Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms), 
    • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Powerpoint),
    • Content management systems e.g. Drupal website (understanding of basic HTML an asset), and
    • Social media platforms (e.g. Instagram, Facebook, YouTube) and scheduling tools.

Position Responsibilities

  • Creates clear, consistent, and professional communications for both internal (staff or educators) and external (families and community) audiences based on existing brand guidelines and materials.
  • Oversees and maintains the organization’s social media accounts and website.
  • Develops meaningful and engaging content and designs creative assets for print and digital purposes, including social media (Instagram, Facebook etc.) and website (news/ blog).
  • Supports People Services team with educator communications, marketing, and associated tactics, including any advertising aimed at recruitment of educators.
  • Coordinates and participates in the planning of special events and professional learning opportunities through communications development, asset design, and event day photography/ videography (and subsequent editing).
  • Coordinates outsourced materials as necessary, including but not limited to promotional or print products and signage.
  • Works cross-functionally with programs and departments within the organization to plan and execute communications or marketing related projects in a timely manner.
