Supply Dietary Planner
Monday through Friday
Various Children’s Centres throughout London
6.5 to 8 Hours per day, which includes a half hour unpaid break
This position provides coverage during planned absences such as vacation, as well as same day absences due to illness or emergencies.
Qualifications:
- Safe Food Handling Certification
- Understanding of Canada’s Food Guide
- Minimum two years’ experience in food preparation for children from 18 months to 4 years of age preferred
- Standard First Aid with CPR for Infant and Child - Level C
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Check (6 months current)
Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work creatively within a limited budget
- Ability to work effectively as a team member
Position responsibilities:
- To plan well balanced menus on a rotational basis
- To purchase food supplies to meet the needs of the menus
- To maintain accurate purchasing records
- To prepare and serve nutritious and delicious meals and snacks
- To maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment at all times
- To liaise with Dietary Planners in other Children’s Centres within LCC
- To maintain professionalism, confidentiality and courtesy at all times
