How to Request Child Care

Wednesday, January 15, 2020

Find high quality licensed child care that is right for your family.

London Children’s Connection offers three different models of licensed child care through our children’s centres, school age programs, and home child care program.

No matter which child care program you choose, you’ll meet knowledgeable and nurturing child care professionals who welcome families, work in partnership with parents, and will help you with your questions.

Our Approach to Registration

London and Middlesex Centralized Child Care Waitlist

The London and Middlesex Region Child Care Waitlist, otherwise known as the One List, is an online waitlist application that eliminates the need to contact multiple child care providers to complete multiple applications. This waitlist is used by licensed child care, school-age, and nursery school programs across London and Middlesex County.

London Children's Connection utilizes the One List to receive and process requests for child care within our programs.

Our Program Coordinators review the online waitlist regularly and as opportunities to meet new applicants’ needs become available, families are contacted in order of application submission date and our ability to meet the requested child care needs.

When we review requests for child care, we first seek to meet the needs of the families currently registered (i.e. transfers between our programs, registering siblings and/or moving children from one age group to another).

Steps to Request Child Care

  1. Determine the program model (and location, if applicable) that best meets your child care needs. Should you wish to, you may schedule a tour and/or meeting with the Program Coordinator to learn more about the program. Come with your questions.

  2. Go to the London and Middlesex Child Care Centralized Waitlist website at https://london.onehsn.com.

  3. Complete the online waitlist application form, listing your child care needs and location(s) of interest.

Once you have completed the online waitlist application form, the Program Coordinator for the LCC program(s) that you selected will be notified of your request by email and will contact you directly once there is a space in the program that matches your child care needs.

If you require support to help you navigate through the One List website, did you know that your local Family Centre can help? Visit Familyinfo.ca/familycentres to connect with the Family Centre in your neighbourhood.

School Age Programs Full Day Care

Please note that the process outlined above is not used to attend our full-day school age programs including P.A. Day, March Break, and Summer Programs.

To request registration for these programs, your child must be currently registered in our School Age Program. Registration opportunities and details about these programs are shared directly with current families via email.
